LogOn/LogOff v1.12 (c)1994 by Doug Kalman. All Rights Reserved.
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
Multi-Line user annoucement utility for RemoteAccess v2.00 - 2.02.
Overview
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
LogOn/LogOff is a multi line user annoucement utility for RemoteAccess.
It sends a one line annoucement to other nodes when a user logs on and
off your system.
Installation
─────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
LogOn/LogOff can be installed two different ways.
The first method (preferred):
1) Unzip the contents of this archive into your RA system directory.
2) Fire up RACONFIG, select OPTIONS then SYSTEM. Set TEXT SHELLS to YES.
If you have more than one CONFIG.RA repeat this step for as many nodes
as have a seperate file.
3) Using your favorite textfile editor (i.e. TheDraw) edit each WELCOME
and GOODBYE file to include:
^XF:\RA\LOGON.EXE [/REALNAME] (for WELCOME.ASC/ANS/AVT/RIP)
^XF:\RA\LOGOFF.EXE [/REALNAME] (for GOODBYE.ASC/ANS/AVT/RIP)
NOTE: Parameters enclosed in [..] are optional.
Optional Parameters are always preceded with the '/' character.
The ^X is the RA control code for running a program from a textfile.
The F:\RA\LOGON.EXE or F:\RA\LOGOFF.EXE is the path and filename of
the program.
The /REALNAME switch provides for the use of real names instead
of handles. (LOLO's default)
The | is the RA control code that terminates a textfile command line.
Example (for a GOODBYE textfile) using the optional /REALNAME switch;
C:\RA\LOGOFF.EXE /REALNAME|
Example (for a WELCOME textfile) using Handles;
C:\RA\LOGON.EXE|
The second method:
You can also execute LogOn/LogOff from an auto-executing type-7 shell.
If you don't display alot of textfiles before your TOP menu, you may
wish to use this method. The command line is identical minus the ^X
and | control codes.
